Can we stop nuclear power now?
This subject is a bit taboo… Should we choose a climate disaster or a nuclear disaster? It's up to each person to decide...
Stopping nuclear power too quickly may mean producing part of our electrical energy from coal, and therefore worsening global warming. However nuclear power is clearly not the right answer to counter global warming.
Renewable energies have become a real alternative - as the table below shows, nuclear power is no cheaper than other forms of energy - even without taking into account the very high risks.
